"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
- Luke 2:7
The King of Kings did not assume a palace, and indeed not even a guest room was available to him, but our Savior was born into the humblest of circumstances. He was placed in a manger because that was what was available. There was room there.
It’s really a beautiful picture, for it shows just what Jesus came to do. The Divine still steps into our ordinary, messy, and chaotic world and does the miraculous - the healing, the restoring of relationship, the forgiving, and ultimately, through His death and resurrection - the saving.
The Christmas season reminds us that God doesn't wait for perfect spaces and perfect people. When we make room in our hearts He enters and miracles happen!
Our prayer for you this Christmas is that you will see the miraculous in every ordinary area of your life this past year and in the one to come, and may it continue to leave you in awe of His goodness.
God bless you and your family throughout this season and in 2026!
